Just moved to Olympia and wanted to try a local course. Gave Capitol City a try and had a great time. Course was in great shape, greens were fast fairways well kept up. Pace of play was on point for a Friday afternoon on summer. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely the rudest experience I've ever had at either a public or private golf course. This is not a welcoming place for beginners, juniors, or anyone trying to learn the game. While my 12-year-old daughter was teeing off, the senior group of women behind us laughed when she missed. While I teach my children to be resilient and not let things like that ruin their day, it certainly didn't make her feel encouraged to keep trying. Things only got worse from there. The group behind us repeatedly hit into us, with their golf balls landing dangerously close on multiple occasions because they refused to wait for us to clear the fairway. Eventually, one of their balls struck our golf cart while my 12-year-old was sitting in it. There was no warning or "fore." At that point, we calmly asked if they could slow down a bit and wait until we were out of range. We weren't rude, and no profanity was used. The only response we received was, "I said I was sorry!" Immediately afterward, the marshal, Mac, approached us to say we were causing a 10-minute delay and needed to speed up. When we explained that the group behind us had repeatedly hit into us and had actually hit our cart, his only respon

UPDATE: The absolute RUDEST I've ever been treated ever on the golf course. While putting on the practice area, an employee named Doug drove by and I made a passing greeting, to which he snorted at me as though talking to him was equal to talking to some godly king who cured cancer and solved world peace. Thinking maybe I took it the wrong way, I passingly inquired as to why he was watering the greens and if it involved some sort of fungus. He told me I'm not funny at all and attempted to again dismiss me entirely with prejudice. After this, while I was standing politely on the greens, he proceeded to stare me down threateningly as though he was going to actually physically harm me for being on his golf course. I am 40 years old, polite, caring, volunteer for the youth, and I love golf and my family. If this is who a course finds acceptable to keep employed, a seemingly disgruntled and angry, unpredictable man, I will certainly not be coming back, and I will recommend anyone else steer clear until he is fired or writes me a personal apology in response to this review. What an unfortunate interaction to have at a course with such potential and quality, hopefully they learn f

Came twice in a week to utilize the driving range and short game area. Both days was harassed by a short older man with grey hair and a ponytail who told me he is in charge of the facility. Was working on chipping around the fire hydrant and he came running out of the pro shop yelling at me saying βyouβre not going to hit that shot hereβ. I couldnβt believe what was happening but was able to remain calm and politely tell him that I checked with two others who were chipping and both said it was ok to chip. He then became louder and said he didnβt care how good of a golfer I was (I never said I was a good golfer and Iβm still perplexed why he stated this) then he said if a bad golfer sees me chipping then they will want to chip as well. After he walked away I went into the pro shop and there was a young man working behind the counter. I asked him if it was ok to chip around the practice green, he said yeah no problem. I told him what had just happened, he shook his head and shrugged. I thought about going back out again but didnβt want more conflict so I left. A few days prior to that my Dad was practicing his up and downs on the small pitching green by the range. The same g

I thoroughly enjoyed my mid-May round at Capital City. The course was in great shape and offers excellent value for the price. Additionally, the staff members were incredibly friendly and professional. The only area that could use improvement is the pace of play, as better attention and enforcement would have enhanced the overall experience. That aside, it was a highly enjoyable day of golf, and I will definitely be back.
